About Northwood Advent Christian Church
Northwood Advent Church has been in the community for over 140 years. It came out of a dynamic movement in the mid 1800’s calling people to repentance, salvation and service in the name of Jesus who is soon returning in glory. Thousands committed themselves to follow Christ including the founders of this church.
The current structure was built in 1882. While the building hasn’t changed much, the world has. Throughout the seasons of the year we are involved in the study of God’s word and putting the Word into action through ministry to our community. We also love to worship the Lord through music and song, new and old, loud and soft. The Bible tells us to “make a joyful noise to the Lord”, and to lift our voice and sing. We would love to have you lift your voice with us.

Mission Outreach
Northwood Advent Church has a heart for missions, sharing the good news of the gospel with the world (John 3:16). Throughout the year special offerings are received and a mission emphasis is held each spring to support those who are carrying the gospel around the world.
Northwood Advent Church supports missionaries in Africa, Europe, Central America, Asia, the south pacific and elsewhere. We support a variety of care and relief organizations such as Samaritan’s Purse, (last year we sent over 350 boxes that went to children around the world through Operation Christmas Child). World Relief Fund, Adult and Teen Challenge New Hampshire and other Christian ministries are also supported.
We know we are called to spread his love at home and we do a variety of things to support those in need around us from supporting the local food pantry to giving out food baskets out during holidays. There are special programs throughout the year to reach the community through concerts, guest speakers, movie nights and other activities designed to share the gospel with our neighbors.
